Why did the turkey cross the road?

Why, to join his friends!

The following pictures are of how not to launch a boat. The fellow with the suspenders in the first image was launching a boat, when something happened to his breaks. The people in the boat behind his truck came back to the dock to make certain his truck didn't take off downriver. The father in the boat that returned gave the poor guy a hand, by attaching a line to the boat trailer and releasing the truck break.

Someone else volinteered his truck and a chain to get the guys truck & trailer out of the water. There are better ways to wash a car!

I went past the same area about an hour later, and people were staying with the fellow to make certain he wasn't left by himself.

before - cloudy day

I visited the Pacific Science Center in Seattle on a typical winter day, gray and overcast, and edited the photo to make it a little more sunny. Still overcast, but not as bad!

After - with sun added

original

4-19-08

Took this shot at 2am following a very unusual, heavy snowstorm. The pale spot is the moon trying to show through the clouds.

Corrected the color cast, from street and house lights, in the RAW file. This was a 1.3 second, hand-held shot, so it's not as sharp as I'd like.
